The Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (L-PRES) project has been actively engaged in enhancing livestock development and promoting sustainable farming practices across Nigeria. Recently, a courtesy visit was conducted by the L-PRES Enugu team to the Nkanu East and West Local Government Areas of Enugu State. The primary aim of the visit was to engage with local government officials and farming communities for a sensitization exercise on livestock farmers’ profiling and mapping.
Objectives of the Visit
1. Sensitization: To educate local government officials and farmers about the importance of livestock profiling and mapping for enhancing productivity and resilience in the sector.
2. Collaboration: To establish partnerships with local authorities and gain support for ongoing and future initiatives in livestock development.

Honourable Paul Okwor, the deputy chairman of Nkanu East Local Government, has expressed his appreciation for the contributions of the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES) in Enugu State. He commended the project’s initiatives aimed at enhancing the livestock sector, recognizing the vital role it plays in the local economy and food security. Okwor specifically acknowledged the dedication and leadership of Dr. Ifeyinwa Nnajieze, the State Project Coordinator, for her efforts in driving positive change and supporting local farmers.
