L-PRES Enugu monitoring and evaluation training was designed to enhance project management skills. Key modules cover:

Introduction to Monitoring and Evaluation: Concepts, importance, and frameworks.

Results-Based Management: Establishing baselines, setting targets, and understanding outputs, outcomes, and impacts.

Indicator Development: Types of indicators, including gender-sensitive metrics.

Monitoring Techniques: Data collection methods, participatory monitoring, and quality assurance.

Evaluation Methods: Social impact assessment tools and reporting outcomes to stakeholders.

The L-PRES Enugu state coordinator Dr Ifeyinwa Nnajieze commended the national Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for his exceptional training efforts. This recognition highlights the officer’s role in enhancing the capacity of local stakeholders in monitoring and evaluation practices, which is crucial for effective project implementation and data governance. The training provided has significantly contributed to improving the skills and knowledge of participants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability within the organization.

The Permanent Secretary, Victor Ngwu was also present and commended the effort of the National Monitoring and evaluation Officer Alihu Ahmed for his exceptional presentation and promised that in line with the plans of our amiable Governor His Excellency Governor Barr.Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the state is set to hit the target in the livestock sector.

The PIU’s and representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture were present and were all enlightened on the Monitoring and Evaluation training and its process to achieve better output of the project.
