The Enugu State Project Coordinator L-PRES, Dr.Ifeyinwa Elizabeth Nnajieze sensitise The Honourable Members House of Assembly Enugu State on Livestock Production

Dr. Ifeyinwa Nnajieze, the State Project Coordinator for the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES) in Enugu State, recently engaged members of the Enugu State House of Assembly to discuss the importance of livestock farming and it’s benefit to their various constituencies.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance livestock productivity and resilience within the state. During the sensitization session, Dr. Nnajieze emphasized the project’s objectives based on the 5 established components which includes Institution and innovation system strengthening, Livestock value chain enhancement ,Crisis prevention and conflict mitigation ,Project coordination and management ,Contingency emergency response component  and fostering economic growth through targeted interventions in key value chains such as Cattle, Goat, Sheep,Pig and Chicken.

She highlighted how the Members of the House can support the L-PRES to nominate numerators in their various constituencies to sensitise and profile the livestock farmers across the state thereby increase the GDP of the state in the database of the livestock production.

Dr. Nnajieze reiterated that L-PRES aims to equip farmers with essential skills and knowledge on how to apply for the necessary financial empowerment to enhance their operations and profitability in the livestock sector.


The Honourable members of the House of Assembly were glad to hear the information and the benefits due to the livestock farmers of Enugu State.
